Since this summer, BIMlink users can also place markings, annotations and comments in PDF project documents in their online building file. These documents are then securely stored in the module Communication on BIMlink’s BIM cloud platform.
BIMlink’s PDF editor allows users to collect all project communications online in their building management model. Advantages of the PDF editor are:
- each party has its own color, clarifying who wrote what
- comments are saved per version
- all communication is shown in one overview
- parties can discuss comments online

Digital twin
BIMlink has set up the Document Management System (DMS) that follows the structure of the building. This makes it easy for users to find the information down to the object level. By linking the DMS to the objects and geometry in the BIM database, a digital twin is created that bundles all communication about the property. In this way, BIMlink ensures efficient communication during all phases of a construction project.
