BIMlink has connected its online building file to the technical specifications tools of S-Bestek through an API. Users of S-Bestek can find and view objects and properties of their models directly from the BIMlink database. And vice versa, BIMlink customers can view specifications of BIM models from S-Bestek online in our BIMlink cloud platform. The link is part of BIMlink’s API strategy.
S-Bestek has been developed by the Dutch company Systhema Informatietechnologie and is the first online technical specifications software for civil and utility construction based on the Dutch STABU standards. S-Bestek also supports STABU2 and a number of tools from Bouwbreed, like Werksoorten, Bouwsystemen & Installaties, NL / SfB and UAV 2012. S-Bestek enables users to share specifications online with partners. S-Bestek enable Bouwbreed to be used with OSF (Open Specification Format).
API strategy
The new link between BIMlink and S-Bestek is part of BIMlink’s API strategy. An important advantage of the cooperation between BIMlink and S-Bestek is the rapid exchange of information between the two platforms. All customer specifications are continuously digitally connected with the associated objects. Another advantage is that the specifications can be stored in BIMlink, so that they become part of the complete building file.
BIMlink is an online platform for collecting and structuring all information about a building. For maximum effect, the database can easily be linked to APIs with almost all systems. BIMlink customers can access their data from the building file to various external applications, which makes exchanging data easy. All building data is in the BIMlink cloud and does not need to be copied, so data only needs to be managed in one place. It is also possible to use the BIMlink authorization model in other applications. This link is now also available for BIMlink customers who are always free to choose their own ‘ecosystem’ of applications. In this way, they can always work with the preferred trusted apps.
