BIMlink and the Belgian BIM consultancy firm Bimplan have signed a partnership agreement to launch BIMlink’s digital building management cloud platform in Belgium. Both parties will work closely together to implement local processes and standards for Bimplan customers, who will then have better access to their real estate data.
The partnership was signed by BIMlink’s managing director Roy van der Velden and Bimplan’s director and founder Jan Van Sichem. BIMlink’s cloud platform provides construction companies, project developers, property owners and governments with quick, easy and real-time insights into building data throughout a building’s lifecycle. Through the BIMlink platform, all participating project partners have a secure and structured access to documents, drawings and models during the construction and management of a building. Through the platform, BIMlink customers also have access to third party applications of BIMlink partners via API links.

In line with the BIMlink vision, all users have access to the same source files of buildings, which prevents construction errors and makes the executing and managing projects more efficient and less expensive. Various contractors, managers of offices and shopping centers, but also hospitals and care institutions, housing corporations and municipalities in the Netherlands already work with the BIMlink platform.

Sharing of knowledge
Bimplan was founded at the end of 2009 and has been a pioneer in promoting BIM in the Belgian construction world.
